Pre-Columbian, North Coast Peru, Lambayeque, ca. 700 to 1200 CE. A hand-built and russet-hued pottery portrait vessel depicting a head with almond-shaped eyes and a decorated cap held on his elongated forehead with a chin strap. Size: 6.875" L x 6.125" W x 7.8" H (17.5 cm x 15.6 cm x 19.8 cm)

Condition
Professional repair and restoration to top of handle, with resurfacing and overpainting along new material and break lines. Fading to cap decorations, with abrasions and scattered pitting, otherwise in great condition. Nice preservation to facial features.
