Pre-Columbian, North Coast of Peru, Moche, ca. 400 to 800 CE. A mold-formed pottery vessel of a regal face - exhibiting ovoid eyes, pursed lips, and tab shaped ears - who wears a headdress with a pair of jaguar faces and paws, all atop a conical foot. White pigment accentuates the periphery of each eye. Size: 4.25" L x 5.125" W x 6.8" H (10.8 cm x 13 cm x 17.3 cm)

Condition
Professional repair and restoration to face and upper body, with unrestored repair beneath foot bearing visible chipping and adhesive residue. Fading to original pigment on face, with softening to some finer details, and light earthen deposits. Nice facial expression.
