Hand-Carved Oxbone Sailor Made Dipping Pen with Extended Letter Opener Handle and Top That Unscrews
c. 1850 Mid-19th Century, Ornate Sailor Made Hand-Carved Oxbone Dipping Pen with Letter Opener Handle and Protective Screw Top for its Pen, Choice Extremely Fine.
The intricacy of this exceptionally decorative Hand-Carved delicate looking Oxbone Pen is remarkable. It measures about 8.75" long when in its closed position and about 7.5" when open for use as a writing pen. Its handle unscrews to reveal the highly decorated brass pen. Overall, lightly used yet is complete and in proper working condition. The screw top has decorative designs and a small hole for hanging or attaching a string. An amazing nautical related sailor's item that has been well cared for to remain fully intact and damage free, as shown.
