Modern leather backed cloth to period style with red morocco lettering labels. 10 1/2 x 8 inches; with half-title, 19 plates, a few in color. Dampstaining affecting plates and less so to the text, covers slightly bowed, Auchincruive bookplate.
Lowndes describes this first edition, one of just 250 copies, as "a valuable and interesting work."
