Large vintage A.C. Gilbert Erector built "Engin Model" constructed using components from the classic No. 9 and No. 9-1/2 sets, featuring a substantial framework of steel girders, a blue electric motor, flywheel assembly, boiler-style cylinder elements, and a multi-section metal base. This impressive display piece demonstrates the Hall of Science engineering style typical of Gilbert's advanced sets and shows detailed mechanical construction throughout. Tested, and at the time does not work. Motor makes noise, but no action takes place. Overall approx. 33 x 24 inches. From the remarkable lifetime Collection of Michael Kent.
