Description
Included in this lot is an original, signed Navajo Native American pottery jar done by Santa Clara artist, Hanna Jay Kinlicheni. The artist, Kinlicheni, known to her people as Hanna Jay, is of the Red House People of the Rainbow clan and has been a potter for decades. Her grandmother created fabulous Santa Clara "form" pottery before her. Kinlicheni is a full blooded Navajo. Her stunning pieces are 'one of a kind' treasures created in the Santa Clara form, collected by serious collectors worldwide. This piece is made from a sand cast technique, hand carved, kiln fired, and is painted on a slip. This piece is in great condition and measures 5 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" wide.
