Description

A Set of Ten Italian Painted and Parcel Gilt Dining Chairs with Fortuny Upholstery
19th/20th Century
comprising two 19th century armchairs and eight late 20th century side chairs made to match.
Height of each 35 inches.

Condition

Each chair in stable condition and upholstery in good condition on each. One side chair missing back cushion and one armchair missing finial. Other armchair with repair to underside of right arm. Gilt and gesso likely not original to antique chairs. Both with losses to gilt and gesso, and age cracks. Stylized insect holes and weathering to contemporary chairs.
