Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, blue & white bamboo forest gathering motif porcelain brush pot. Potted in brush holder shape, sturdily in cylindrical straight body, thick potted, deep curvature, slight tall and gentle upward to wide straight opening lip, raised on flat round foot base. The exterior decorated with hand-painting in clean white under glazed base color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color, depicted of elders relax on the field beside dense bamboo tree. Blue and white porcelain in Chinese it is called Qing Hua Ci. It is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground and dark grayish brown spotted firing marks with edge-cut foot rim.
