The plate is c. 8" x 10", the picture mat is 11" x 14", it would match into the standard frame. There is a special acid free supporting board on the backside. This print is a genuine 1932 plate. Very good condition.

Diana Thorne (1895-1963) was an American artist and illustrator known for her animal paintings. She was most active between the 1920s and 1940s. In 1932, she published a series of albums with reproductions of her artworks. Her artworks are included in the collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the American Museum and Gardens, Bath, England, and the McNay Art Museum. The Ingalls Library and Museum Archives at the Cleveland Museum of Art holds an artist file of Thorne's work.
