A lion's head sabre for army officers with portepee, maker Paul Seilheimer, Solingen, model number 85Nickel-plated blade with maker's logo on the ricasso. Knuckle-bow hilt with rich oak leaf decoration in relief. The lion's head with two inset red glass eyes. The obverse languet bears a large army eagle with its wings extending into the crossguard. Vacant monogram cartouche to the reverse languet. Black plastic grip with wire winding. Black lacquered steel scabbard (somewhat dented and rusty). Officer's portepee. Length 92 cm.Condition: II
