Excellent lot of three Civil War hard images, some with identification, including:
1. Sixth plate full-length standing studio view of a bearded Yankee artilleryman. Full thermoplastic case with floral motif.
2. Sixth plate tintype seated half-length portrait of a grey-haired horse soldier. Full leatherette case. With modern note identifying the subject as Charles Gibson of the 9th Kentucky Cavalry.
3. Ninth plate seated view of a double-armed infantryman. Full leatherette case. Period note behind tintype reads: “Charles Ewing of Brownsville Ohio”. Ewing, a member of the 95th Ohio Infantry, shouldered a rifle during the action-packed second half of 1862.
