With a sarcophagus hood and gilt flame and urn finials above brass dial engraved, “Jacob Godshalk Towamencin,” figured walnut case.

Condition
lot 16: brass face overall in nice condition, with some minor loss to blacking to numerals, the spandrels slightly loose, and possibly with later screws; the works with bell cast, “G. Ainsworth Warrn.”; backboard with numerous screw holes indicating it was screwed to the wall at some point; backboard through case with additional nails; slight old loss along right-facing side of case corner; crack under cover molding along upper right-facing side; feet look ok, missing one support block and one foot with shim mounted to underside for stabilization; the plinth with some minor age cracks; the cheeks with some splitting where the seatboard was screwed in place; the hood with separate superstructure, which is possibly modified; finials will some loss to gilding / gesso commensurate with age, one finial with upright top stuck to underside; includes a pendulum, two weights, and winding key; as with all mechanical objects, Freeman's does not guarantee functionality for clocks
