James Earle Fraser, American, 1876-1953. An early 20th century Bronze portrait plaque, titled "The Roosevelt Bas Relief". Depicts Theodore Roosevelt in profile above a quote reading "Aggressive Fighting for the Right is the Noblest Sport the World Affords". Signed "Fraser" in the cast and dated "1920" upper right, retains original paper label from "Decorative Arts League" NY and incised "DecArts" verso. Minor surface wear. 10 x 12 3/4" high overall.
