The dark seen in mirror is a hanging light and a black curtain backdrop.
Beautiful Mirror, very old with wear and minimal scratches to the glass but over all in good condition, does have a small crack at the bottom right (see pic). You can seen fine in the mirror and the little flaws give it that vintage character we love.
