About the artist: Born on February 1, 1936, in the village of Big Bakai, Reshetilovsky district, Poltava region. He graduated from the Kharkov Institute of Culture (1958). Artist of decorative and applied art. He designed patterns for embroidery (patterns of icons, portraits of famous people of Ukraine, ornament, font, and thematic compositions using the cross-stitch technique), published in the journal “Woman”, “Ukraine”. Honored Master of Folk Art (2006). He received the regional award named after Panas Mirny (2007). He worked as the director of the district house of culture, the teacher of the year, and the senior teacher of the boarding school in the city of Snyatin, the Stanislav region (now the Ivano-Frankivsk region); Lecturer at the Snyatinsky College of Culture (subsequently transferred to the city of Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk Region; 1966); teacher of decorative and applied art of the Gadyatsky College of Culture (Poltava region; 1977). The main works: designed by the Gadyatsky Literary Museum of the Dragomanov family (1991). Author of albums “Ukrainian Embroidery. Ornaments, fonts, thematic compositions "(2005, issue 1)," Ukrainian embroidery. Portraits of prominent people of the Poltava region "(2007, issue 2)," Ukrainian embroidery. Icons, religious compositions "(2008, issue 3)," Ukrainian embroidery. Portraits of Taras Shevchenko ”(2013, issue 4). He lived and worked in Poltava.
