Vintage Inlaid Brass and Turquoise Fish Brooch, Los Castillo (Mexico, 1940's-1960's ot possibly slightly older). This is a brass metal frame with inlaid turquoise, other green stones, and onyx chips. Early locking style clasp It is signed Los Castillo, Taxco and has a number 103 stamped. This is 2.5" long and appx. 3/4" wide. Brass construction with brass eye. Los Castillo was started by four brothers in appx. 1939. This has some polish residue on the brass left by the previous owner. This was purchased from an estate. Good condition with some typical piece- a great piece with cultural appeal. (W31624.5 SS13657 J LD 3/31/24).
