A sizable collection of White House memorabilia presented to and collected by Samuel Sutton, the career U.S. Navy officer who served as personal valet to three U.S. Presidents (Clinton, Bush II, and Obama.) The collectibles, which range from clothing, table linen, and dolls, to matchbooks, candy, and pens, to magazines, books, and newspapers, include a presentation book signed by Jenna Bush. A delightful and varied collection, ca. 1981-2017, dating from the Reagan, Bush I, Clinton, Bush II, and Obama administrations. Please refer to catalog photos for additional information related to condition, which is overall very good to near fine. 275+ pieces total. Stored in a box measuring 12" x 19" x 19."

The lot is comprised of:

- A handsome covered box engraved "Samuel Sutton" above a presidential seal on the glass lid, containing 7 collector's pens with multi-toned wooden barrels. Each pen is engraved with a facsimile signature from U.S. Presidents Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush I, Clinton, Bush II, Obama. Pristine, and with working pens! The presentation box measures 2.5" x 7.25" x 6.375." (8 pieces including the pens)

- Pair of monogrammed pewter salt and pepper shakers, initialed "SS" for Samuel Sutton recto and engraved with a presidential seal verso, measuring 2.5" h. each. One of the shakers is engraved "Web Pewter / 1121" on the underside of the base. The pair is contained in a Salisbury Pewter box measuring 2.75" x 4.5" x 3." (2 pieces)

- An ivory linen dinner napkin embroidered with an "E Pluribus Unum" Great Seal at center. A little wrinkled, else near fine. Unfolded measures 21.75" x 19.75." (1 piece)

- A dark blue heavy knit men's sweater embroidered with the presidential seal and "Presidential Retreat/ Camp David" at the lapel. The Andrew Rohan 100% cotton sweater is XL. Measures approximately 25.25" across the shoulders, and 27" long from collar to hem. (1 piece)

- A group of 19 matchbooks, with "Ronald Wilson Reagan" and a blind-embossed White House verso, and the presidential seal recto. Expected wear and weathering, and at least one has some missing matches. (19 pieces)

- Three cardboard boxes of M & M's chocolate candies in "Presidential Packs" featuring the facsimile signature of Bill Clinton below a presidential seal. There is one sealed box containing 60 packs of Milk Chocolate; one opened box containing 59 packs of Peanut; and one opened box containing 53 packs of Plain. Each box measures 4.125" x 11.75" x 9." (172 packs total)

- A doll modeled after George W. Bush, possibly fitted for a sound recording. The doll has adjustable limbs and adorable removable men's clothing including a red and white polka dot tie, dress shirt, jacket, trousers, black knee socks, and loafers. The joints of the bottom half are a little loose, else near fine. 12" h. (1 piece)

- 2 wooden covered canisters presented to "President George W. Bush," once containing hand-made Dominican cigars, now empty. Each is signed and inscribed by an unidentified donor named Olvo Oregior. Partially peeling or missing labels, else near fine. 6.75" h. 4.5" dia. (2 pieces)

- A collector's limited edition fancy white and gilt cup from The Royal Collection, #819/2100, "To Commemorate the 21st birthday of HRH Prince William of Wales 21st June 2003." Stamped and marked on the underside of the base. 6" h. Stored in its original gilt box listed with a retail price of £75, one split corner, measuring 3.625" x 6.75" x 9.25." (1 piece)

Collection of pens and markers from the Bush I, Bush II, and Obama administrations, as well as miscellaneous presidential or royal associations, 43 pieces total. These include:

- A Parker pen featuring George H.W. Bush's facsimile signature. (1 piece)

- A group of 28 black sharpie markers featuring George W. Bush's facsimile signature as well as "The White House"; along with 6 black sharpie markers featuring Bush II's facsimile signature without the title; and a George W. Bush pen. (35 pieces total)

- 3 Cross pens featuring Barack Obama's facsimile signature as well as the presidential seal. (3 pieces)

- A group of 4 miscellaneous pens, one "Presidential Retreat / Camp David"; one with Tony Blair facsimile signature; and two unidentified royal pens. (4 pieces)

Collection of books and ephemera from the Clinton, Bush II, and Obama administrations, 29 pieces total. These include:

- Stated first paperback edition of Jenna Bush (Based on her work with UNICEF), "Ana's Story: A Journey of Hope" (New York: HarperCollins Publishers, 2008), signed and inscribed by Jenna Bush on the half title page, presented to Samuel Sutton. (1 piece)

- An unopened pack of "Operation Iraqi Freedom U.S. Military Heroes" playing cards. (1 piece)

- Stated 12th edition, Allida Black with Foreword by First Lady Michelle Obama, "The First Ladies of the United States of America" (Washington, D.C.: The White House Historical Association, 2009). (1 piece)

- Three issues of "Time" Magazine, two featuring Barack Obama, including the Commemorative Issue and a "Time for Kids"; and one featuring Democratic Party presidential candidate Howard Dean, ca. 2004-2009. (3 pieces)

- 9 printed program booklets to "The Dedication of the William J. Clinton Presidential Center, November 18, 2004." (9 pieces)
