Vintage Sterling Pink Tourmaline Ring, Sz. 10.25, 1970's-1980's. The stone is a testing as pink tourmaline - it does have inclusions inside the stone. it is pear-shaped and an appx. 1 CTW stone. Set with two prongs on the wide end and a V-prong at the tip. The ring has a wide band on top with a double ridge around the stone. The ring is appx. 9.7mm wide at the top center and tapers to appx. 2mm at the back of the finger. It is marked sterling and tests as sterling with an appx. weight of 2.37 gr. there is another mark inside the band that is possibly a maker's mark but it is unknown to me. Pretty ring in good to very good condition. The stone does hav inclusions inside it as is often the case when gemstones are placed in sterling -the lesser value stones are used to keep the rings affordable. (W81223.1X1 SS12011 J LD 9/23/23).
