The colours used in this painting are wonderfully flamboyant, stylish and most importantly, fun. The pastel mix of soft colours are set off by the dark navy and black used within the painting. This is one of three that we have available by this talented French artist. Suzanne Vattier (1901-1996) was a pupil of the famous painter, André Lhote. She evolved from Cubism to a dreamlike art symbolic visions. She has exhibited in several galleries and salons of Paris, the International contest in Cannes, Biarritz and at René Borrel in Deauville; Nationals Abroad: Miami (USA), Brussels, Naples, Rome and she has won numerous awards including the "Golden Plate" contest of the Seven Hills in Rome and a gold medal at the International competition "Italia "in Naples.
