A LARGE BRONZE FIGURE OF GUANYIN
Ming Dynasty
Seated cross-legged in long flowing robes open at the chest to reveal elaborate jewellery, the hair is dressed in knotted plaits and a topknot behind the elaborate crown, later wood stand. 45cm (17 3/4in) high (2).

Condition
There is surface wear to the bronze. There are various stress lines within the bronze especially along the back of the figure, likely imperfections from casting. There are a series of small holes along the lower frontal edge of the figure's robes, and a few small holes to the body on the front side. The base open.
