Featured in this lot is this soapstone native hunter carving from Eskimo artist K. Kumak circa 1970's. The carving features a wonderfully and professionally crafted soapstone construction that shows a Eskimo hunter in winter garments with a hunting pack on his back. The carving is marked on the bottom as follows: K. Kumak - Eskimo Art Canada - #02192 - 1975. The carving comes complete with an original receipt from the gallery of folk art The Chair House. The condition of this Eskimo Carving is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this carving is 7 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 4 1/2". The collective weight of this carving is 4lb 14oz.
