Meissen (German) Painted Porcelain Figural Grouping, Leda And the Swan, Ca. 19th C., H 7" W 7" Depth 5" | Depicting Leda draping a floral swag over the Swan, adjacent to a quiver of arrows and contemplating cherub. with '433' and '136' incised to the underside with cobalt Meissen mark under glaze. Circa 19th century. Provenance: Property inherited by descent, Harrisville, Michigan.
Condition
When viewed under UV light, conservation efforts and associated losses were observed to the tree trunk and foliage. (Some fractured pieces are included.)
