An Extremely Fine George V Period Officer's Schapska Of The 16th The Queen's Lancers The black leather skull with all gilt and silver fittings, black cloth trencher top, original gilt-metal bullion rosette bearing 'GVR' cypher, black leather plume with gilt-metal plume-holder, velvet-lined gilt-metal chinchain on lion-mask supports, complete with its linings, and in exceptional original condition: each in its original japanned carrying tin, the first with brass plate engraved 'J.E.R. ALLEN 16TH THE QUEENS LANCERS' (2) Footnotes: J.E. Russel Allen was 2nd Lieutenant on 19 January 1912 and was promoted to Lieutenant in 1916.
