Vintage 1950's 10kt Pearl Vari Gem Ring, Sz. 6.5, 2.91 Grams. Vari-Gem was around for the beginning of the 1900's up til about mid-century. The ring is sigined Pat'd, Vai Gem, 10kt. Vari Gem rings the ability of changing out the stones on the rings to change the look for your desire of color, etc. Each stone is placed with small screw sets, that are easily loosened to replace the stone with another. This has an appx. 5.7mm pearl with a clear 2.5 white topaz accent stone. This does not come with any other stones but it does have the screws as indicated for changing out the pearl. They are in the undercarriage and not visible fromthe top of the ring. It has a wide bowl-like design with 6 prongs holding the pearl. It tapers off to the side with a grooved stream effect going down into the band. The ring is 13mm wide before it starts to trail off and appx. 9.5mm down the finger. The band on the trailing side is 5.4mm and tapers to 1.3mm at the back of the finger. The band on the opposite sides is appx. 4.1mm. It is in good to very good condition. It is a modern design for being appx. 1950's. It sits a little high with bridged front and side design work. (INV. W22020.7X7 SS1285 J LD 6/12/20)
