Description
An Indian gold ruby and split pear pendant and earring set, c.1950, the pendant modelled as a stylised ribbon and spray, set throughout with seed pearls, untested, and circular cut rubies, with a pair of similarly designed earrings, also set with seed pearls and rubies, to screw posts and butterfly fittings. Mounted in unmarked gold tested as approximately 18 - 22ct. The pendant suspended on a later trace link chain tested as 9ct gold. 21.09g (2) Condition Report: One seed pearl lacking from the pendant. Rubies show natural inclusions under magnification. Various scratches and marks to mounts.
