Description
Native American, Southwestern United States, Jicarilla Apache, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A pretty basketry jar, coiled from the left using a rod foundation of willow or sumac, and sewn splits also of sumac or willow. The splints are dyed red, green, black, and orange, likely aniline dyes. The rim has a braided finish. Size: 9" Diameter x 10" H (22.9 cm x 25.4 cm)
