Signed R. J. Horner Acanthus Carved Poster Bed, Late 19th Century. Beautiful carved mahogany with a finish that looks to be original. Headboard and footboard panels are select flame mahogany. This is Horner's finest example of an acanthus carved poster bed. This bed is profusely carved and much more elaborate than other models, even the rails are carved on this model. Bed is labeled by R. J. Horner on the headboard. Measures 90" high X 85 1/2" long X 62" wide. Bed takes a full sized mattress. Condition- Fine, original condition with some minor wear/scratches, mostly to top of rails.
