19th Century Gothic Oak Standing Crucifix, Raffl Paris. The wood and gesso crucifix is marked, "Raffl Paris," and, "Marchi Naresl(???)." The crucifix comes with a wooden base and metal back plate for stabilization. Measures approximately 85 1/4" high X 53" wide X 10" deep. Crucifix measures approximately 71 1/4" high without base. It is hard to date this item, our best guess is around 1870.

Condition- The Christ figure is missing four fingers and two thumbs. The gesso has cracks at both shoulders and other hairline cracks throughout. Overall, the Christ figure is stable. the wooden cross is missing two corner bracket decorations on the right hand side of cross. Wood has the original varnish and the balance of this piece is in good condition. See photos.
