[PAINTED MINIATURES]. [BONAPARTE, Napoleon (1769-1821), and BONAPARTE, Joséphine (1763-1814), subjects]. Pair of Hand-Painted Miniatures in Vintage Matching Gilt Frames with Imperial Eagles. [Ca. 1807]. Handsome painted miniatures of Napoleon wearing his Bicorne hat and Joséphine wearing her crown. Both miniatures are signed by the artist (Napoleon signed by Jean Guy, Joséphine is signed by Jenny Servy [?]). Sight of miniatures approximately 4 ¼ x 3 ½”. Imperial frames (both framed under glass) approximately 6 ½ x 4 ¼”. Frames with hinged stands. A few cracks visible on the Joséphine, a scuff visible on the inner surface of the glass of Joséphine, some toning to frames. Near fine.
