London: London Printing Company, [ca. 1852]. 4tos. 4 volumes bound in two. Illustrated. Vol. I, xxiv, 344, 408 pp.; Vol. II, 376, 364 pp. Complete with maps and fine steel engravings of personalities and events. Bound in three-quarter green morocco over pebbled boards, spines stamped in gilt. Some wear, soiling to bindings, some foxing and staining in text and plates, mostly to the front and rear ends and browning at page extremities. Very good. Rare.
