A bit toned, photos with small manuscript notes below the images (“Grant” and “Grant / Barker [beneath crossed out manuscript note]”), minor rubbing to mounts, one photo with a small marginal chip at left margin. Fine. During the Petersburg campaign, Grant and his staff lived in tents on the property of Dr. Richard Eppes; it was at this location that Grant directed most of the action in the final phase of the Civil War.
