Portrait of an old scholar, very similar to an etching by Rembrandt or Jan Lievens, described as a portrait of Jacob Cats, also wearing the same unidentifiable order chain.
Old label referring to a previous collection and a typed note with an older attribution to Ferdinand Bol (backside of the panel).
