Description
Cal. 38 S&W Spl. S# V175687. Bbl. 2" w/ semi-circular sight. Six shot fluted cyl. 2 piece walnut square butt grips w/ matching serial number. Butt of gun has lanyard loop & the flaming bomb ordnance mark. Top strap is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". Consignor states 1 of 300 shipped to Fort Mason, CA 12/1/1942. CONDITION: beautifully restored revolver retaining 99% bead-blasted matte finish w/ a light cyl. drag line. Hammer, trigger & lanyard loop are case colored. Grips have very good refinish. Very good bore. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Edward Scott Meadows. (24-723). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
