Lock, s-shaped hammer & top tang have vine type scroll & chain link borders. Lock is marked "W. Greener". Pistol sized nipple w/ platinum cleanout on bolster sits in wide cupped high fences. Plain trigger. Bbl. flat forward of rear sight has evidence of added metal that maybe from a previous sight installation. Wedge fastened half length stock of nicely grained English walnut. Inside of bbl. channel is stamped "344". Features include ebony forearm tip w/ checkering & German silver name shield at wrist. LOP: 14 1/4" to engraved steel shotgun buttplate w/ long tang at peak. Additional engraved iron fittings include long tang trigger guard, trigger plate & key escutcheon. Button tip iron ramrod held on damascus under rib by two plain iron pipes. Rear pipe has sling eye. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: printed information pertaining to previous sale of this rifle. CONDITION: bbl. retains a pleasing brown finish showing some fading w/ small spots of corrosion. Lockplate retains traces of case colors in protected areas w/ balance fading to a smooth gray. Trigger guard & buttplate have a faded brown appearance. Refinished stock shows small marks.
