A highly stylized male sculpture with dramatic form, hard angles, contrasting linear painted designs in red and white mineral pigments. The sculpture measures 13.25 inches tall, 15.5 inches on custom display stand. Kela peoples, neighbors to the Yela and the Mbole peoples, and whom are part of the Lilwa secret society. DRC/ Congo, central Africa. Provenance: Ex Robert Banks collection, MD.
