Vintage Sterling Turquoise Winged Brooch/Pendant , Taxco, Mexico, 1940's-1960's Signed R.R. There is also another marking with an ethnic design. This has a sterling open arch that has an oval what is believed to be green cantera stone bezel-set dangling in the center. It is possible it is turquoise. The arch is smooth over the center and is 3-d with the bottom of the arch being longer on each side and staggered, longeron the left than the right, with a wingged design. It has both a locking clasp and a bail for a pendant. It is appx. 2" wide and 1.75" on the left and slightly shorter on the right. It is in good to very good condition - there is a crack across the stone. It is stable in the setting. The silver will polish to bright and shiny. It is marked Taxco, Mexico, .925 and sterling with R.R. in the center. Weight of the brooch is appx. 13.79 gr. (W4624.1X1 SS13770 J LD 4/20/24).
