Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Tea Powder Porcelain Double Eared Vase. Potted in a Zun shaped vase, thick and large, globular body, heavy on lower belly, emerging two ruyi handles flanked on the rounded shoulder concealing gracefully to opening mouth lip, raised with short ring foot base. Warm and uniform tea powder dust glaze applied to the surface, only the outer bottom is white glazed. Tea powder glaze is one of the important varieties of iron crystal glaze in ancient China. The Iridescent Green pale, gilt splashes and streaks characteristic of this glaze are described as yao bian, or transmutation glaze and resulting from transmutation of colloidal copper, iron, or other metallic materials into suffusions breaking up the glaze surface.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
