Early to mid 19th century. See Stone p.665 and fig. 853. Fine quality with 9 1/4" recurved edge blade with raised ridge above. Integral faceted bolster and faceted wood grip. Matching scabbard with carved scroll terminal raised edge at the top. The back with a large spatulate terminal horn belt hook secured by polished split cane bands (one lacking). Excellent for the period with just minor blemishes. The blade crisp with mottled gray patina.
