Newspaper Group Including Two that Reference Prohibition "Dry Amendment Passes House by Decisive Vote" & "United States House approving the Repeal of Prohibition"
1807-1933 Dated, Group of Three Newspapers: 1807 Columbian Centinel, 1917 Christian Science Monitor and 1933 Springfield Union with Passing and the Repeal of Prohibition, all Complete, Very Fine.
Lot of Three Historic Newspapers each being fully intact disbound, Includes:
1. "Columbian Centinel" Boston (Mass.), December 26, 1807, 13" x 20", 4 pages. Has article on Maritime Codes and Civilian Rights, List of "Counterfeit Bank Bills," "Non-Importation Law / Bill," "Hatfield Bridge Lottery" Prize Results, French deny Expatriation of their Sailors," plus numerous ads for Stock prices, Auction Sales, Ships Sailing to various ports and more.
2. "Christian Science Monitor" International Edition, December 18, 1917, 16.5" x 21.25" 18 pages. Article titled, "Dry Amendment Passes House by Decisive Vote". Details the passage of the 18th amendment. Article on Prohibition being adopted into United States law, to come into effect in January 1919.
