CONDITION: Good vintage condition, as is on the photo. Painting is unframed.
ABOUT THE ARTIST: Bizyukov Onufry Terentevich – was born on 12th of June, 1897 in Velizh city, Smolensk region, Russia. He studied at Mirgorod Art - Industrial School and at Kyiv Art Institute. In the period 1920 - 1931 he taught at Kyiv Art College. In 1929 - 1932 he was a member of the ARIU (the all-Ukrainian organization of artists, in which in 1927 the "boychukists" had a big influence). In 1935 he was repressed as a follower of the "reactionary school of boychukism". Worked in the field of easel painting. Main works: "Woodcutter", "Plotogony", "V. I. Lenin and M. M. Gorky", "Fishermen", "Morning on the Dnieper", the cycle of "Dnipro banks" and others. Participated in republican, Union, foreign and personal exhibitions. The artist died in 1986.
