[GAME BOARD - GEOGRAPHY]
Parquet Geographique. France: H. Duru, circa 1850. 11 x 9 inches. Lithograph printed in colors, with a thin varnish or gum painted to the surface. Framed. Without the second sheet (the same map but without the Departement names), light toning and craquelure to varnish-like substance.
An instructional geography game where students would learn the names of France's Departments. France consisted of eighty-six Departments until Nice and Savoy were acquired in 1860.
