Very similar to oval print dating from c.1850 by Ross and Thomson showing the city from the opposite direction (see nationalgalleries.org), faded but still with good detail, some marks to the surface, mostly original retouchingFormerly owned by the Late Murray Mackinnon, a renowned collector of photography documenting Scottish life from the mid-19th to early-20th century.
