CONN.' and with Lawrence patent rear sight; frame marked on the right side 'R.S. LAWRENCE PAT./APRIL 12TH 1859.' and 'C. SHARPS' PAT./OCT. 5TH 1852.,' the left side marked 'C. SHARPS' PAT./SEPT. 12TH 1848'; walnut stock with two cartouches on the left side adjacent to the sling bar; steel furniture including the butt plate, patch box and barrel band. Barrel lg. 21 3/8, overall lg. 38 3/4 in. Condition: Barrel toned to mottled gray/brown, sight spring very loose; lock toned to gray; stock has scattered dings, dents and abrasions; bore has light surface oxidation but strong rifling, action functions properly.
