Molded Gilt Sheet Copper and Cast Iron Ram Weathervane, Attributed to J.W. Fiske, New York

The weathervane 22 x 31 x 3 in., 23 x 31 x 4 in. (overall).

Condition

CONDITION REPORT:

Oxidation to cast iron head. Scattered seam splits along the body and legs. The front legs with wider split. The ram appears to have been off the support rod and soldered back on, the rod possibly replaced. Associated repairs visible at the feet. Several bullet holes to body and one to rod. Patination and scattered wear to gilding.
