M1836 PISTOL. Cal. 54. NSN. Smoothbore 8.5" barrel w/ brass blade front sight, bolster percussion conversion & swivel ramrod. A Water lock converted to percussion having replacement hammer, & remnants of brass pan. Walnut stock w/ iron furniture & "X" stamp above sideplate. CONDITION: barrel & other iron components have cleaned bright appearance with prior pitting & scratches; sm. crack in barrel band. Lock has reblued finish. Wood has extra finish applied showing numerous marks. Bore show light pitting. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Nicholas Apergis. (01-27425/MD). ANTIQUE. $700-1,000.
