11.25" overall, 7.5" 2 fuller spear point blade, 2" sculpted cross guard, silver inset horn slab handle, silver ferrule & pommel cap, silver shrouded full tang, silver is lightly engraved. There are many well documented examples of this genre dagger/dirk with inscriptions dating 1790-1820. CONDITION: good overall, gray blade with staining and pitting, one silver cover to tang has soldered repair. PROVENANCE: James R. Johnston collection. (02-26008/JS). NON-GUN. $1,500-2,500.
