Ellen Kieffer Etching Title: Kasterlee Cohort 91B Stamp lower right signed lower right Dated: 1987 Kieffer was a bay area artist w/ a Masters of Fine Arts in Printmaking. Her first montypes were in the mid 1980's and she focused on this process along w/ developing other unique methods of printing in the following decades. She combines several separate plexiglass plates, along w/ etching plates and other stencils. She uses oil based etching inks in combination w/ water soluble inks . She has been "artist in residence" eight time at Masereel Grafik Centrum in Belgium. Receipient of several major awards, including the "Nathan Olivera Award of Excellence". She also taught Monotype classes at the Pacific Art League of Palo Alto for over 20 years. Highly acclaimed and collected artist local and abroad. Beautiful art.
