
Description
A tramp art chest of drawers with decoupage images under glass showing daily family life cut out of various period newspapers and print magazines. It has a lift-top and two drawers. Folk art. Rare that maker used materials such as magazines and newspapers and selecting the images to use and cutting them out was a tedious process. The combination of the cut-outs suggest he was telling a story. Most of the cropped images dealt with family life. Piece is in very good condition - please see images. No missing or repaired pieces. It is sturdy and well built. Circa 1920s - 1930s. Dimensions - 10" high x 9" wide x 6" deep.
