This set of 6 American Cut Lead Crystal AMC13 Criss Cross Cane is in excellent condition. NO chips, stains, flea bites etc. They measure. Height: 5 1/4 in X Width: 2 5/8 in. They hold 8 oz. and have a wonderful heavy feel of leaded glass. This pattern has been Discontinued and was Crafted In West Germany. A little history: Most pieces of American Cut Glass were made with about 25–30% lead oxide, which gave the glass extra weight, clarity, and that rainbow-like sparkle when light hits the cuts. (This does that)The high lead content also made the glass softer and easier for artisans to cut into sharp, detailed patterns. While it’s safe to display and handle, experts generally recommend avoiding long-term food or drink storage in leaded glass to minimize exposure.
