Antique hand-painted and lacquered wooden box with removable tray, from Indonesia. The interior compartments are amply sized. There are some small spots where the paint has come off to reveal the wood -- which all adds to its beautiful patina from age.

This is a wonderfully versatile piece for a coffee table or on a study desk as an organizer. It could also be used in well-designed closet for jewelry or men's accessories.
